etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar Review - 2022 Thor Omni Motorhome- Video

Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, on our 2022 Thor Omni motorhome, we're gonna be checking out the etrailer.com SD tow bar. Right off the bat, these etrailer SD tow bars are gonna be available in several different configurations and really, the only difference is going to be what type of adapter end comes with it. So the one that we have here today is going to work with Blue Ox base plates as well as Curt base plates. And if you happen to have a different you know, brand of base plate, whether it be a Roadmaster or another one, chances are really good that the SD is gonna be available with that adapter and allow you to pair them two together. With that said though, when it comes to picking out a tow bar, it's a pretty important decision, you know, 'cause it's gonna be responsible for a lot of the work. more

etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar Installation - 2023 Thor Challenger Motorhome- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the etrailer SD tow bar on the 2023 Thor Challenger. Now there's five main components required when flat towing your Wrangler, and starting on the vehicle side, we have our base plate, and that attaches to the frame of the vehicle creating a structural mounting point for your tow bar and all the rest of your components. Your tow bar is the connection point between the base plate and the hitch on the RV, and the base plate also has tabs for our safety cables that we have here, so just like pulling a trailer, you wanna make sure that it doesn't disconnect, and if it was to, you still have these cables holding onto the vehicle. We have diode wiring, which is gonna transmit the light signals from the lights on the RV to the taillights on the towed vehicle, keeping you safe and legal. We also have our braking system, which is going to slow and stop as you apply the brakes on the RV. You also have this breakaway switch. more

Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain Tow Bar Installation - 2019 Thor Windsport Motorhome- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar on a 2019 Thor Windsport. This is a great tow bar and one of the more premium ones. And the great part about it is it has a high weight capacity. So, for something like a Chevy Silverado, this is a great option. And honestly, anything that weighs less than that is also gonna be great because this is one of the best on the market. Out the gate, weight capacity on this is gonna be 8,000 pounds, which is gonna be great for our Silverado today. more

Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar Installation - 2018 Thor Chateau Motorhome- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar on a 2018 Thor Chateau. The Avail is definitely a tow bar that stands out when it comes to capacity. This is a pretty heavy duty tow bar and its max capacity is gonna be 10,000 pounds, which is more than enough for our Wrangler. But if you ever plan on moving up to a larger tow vehicle down the road, this will be able to handle that. So that's really a nice peace of mind and having that rating, especially with a Wrangler you don't ever have to worry about this failing. Now, some of the features that it has that I really, really like and recommend to everyone is going to be the non-binding style. more

Hi there, Thor owners, found your 2017 Thor Chateau. We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install etrailer's SD tow bar. There's five main components you'll need when flat towing your vehicle behind your motor home. You'll need your tow bar, which is the connection between your motor home and your vehicle, you'll need your safety cables, which is a supplemental connection in addition to your tow bar, you also need your base plate, which is your connection point on your vehicle for your tow bar to attach to, you also need your diode wiring, which will take all the lighting signals from your motor home and transfer them to the lights at the back of your vehicle so people behind you will know your intentions when going down the road and lastly, a supplemental braking system to assist in stopping your vehicle when you're pulling it behind your motor home.
